Raffles Milan, the world's fashion and design school based in the centre of the fashion capital of Italy, is offering 30 scholarships covering up to 50 per cent of the tuition fee (not including tuition), for the master courses in English in fashion design and business, photography, visual design and communication, product and interior design. The courses will start in November 2022.

Programmes start in November 2022

Students at the institute have the opportunity to work directly with an international faculty, in classes of 20 students. The aim is for students to gain "valuable experience through close collaboration with agencies and companies in their respective fields, broadening their perspective on the figures of designers, brand managers and photographers," reads a statement from the school.

"Raffles Milan has built its reputation as an international design school by attracting highly talented students from all over the world; young people who come to the capital of design, Milan, to work with top-level professionals in the fields of design, fashion, photography and the world of creativity," the statement continues. The scholarships will be awarded by the Raffles Milan academic team on the basis of the student's portfolio and motivational letter.

The course leader of the Master in Fashion Design and Business is Arthur Arbesser. Born and raised in Vienna, the designer was immediately fascinated by the culture and history of the city, which remain a great source of inspiration for him to this day. At Central Saint Martins College for Art and Design he quickly developed his aesthetic, supported by his new knowledge of the London art scene. Immediately after graduating, he moved to Milan and began working in the Giorgio Armani team, where he remained for seven years. In February 2013, Arthur launched his own brand. In 2015, at the second edition of the Lvmh prize, he was one of the seven finalists and, in June of the same year, he participated as a guest designer at Pitti Immagine in Florence. Today, he is internationally known as one of the most promising designers, who expresses himself through a very personal and sophisticated style, embellished by lively graphics and a careful choice of fabrics, with which his silhouettes bring out the charm of a sensual modernity.

Students with a bachelor's degree or with proven work experience who wish to apply must submit their admission form, portfolio, motivational letter, curriculum vitae, copy of the qualification and a certificate of the training course or a declaration replacing the certification and a photocopy of an identity document or passport.

Applicants must submit their applications by 31 May 2022 (for the first call) and by 30 September 2022 for the second call. Interested candidates should apply by 31 May 2022 (for the first call) and by 30 September 2022 for the second call.
