Björn Borg posts rise in sales and profit

For the period between October 1 to December 31, 2021, Björn Borg Group’s net sales amounted to 180.6 million Swedish krona, an increase of 12.6 percent.
Net sales for company-owned e-commerce and e-tailers amounted to 63 million Swedish krona, an increase of 9.6 percent.
The gross profit margin was 53.1 percent compared to 56.6 percent. Operating profit amounted to 10 million Swedish krona compared to 6.5 million Swedish krona, profit after tax amounted to 11.1 million Swedish krona compared to 1.3 million Swedish krona and earnings per share before and after dilution amounted to 0.44 Swedish krona compared to 0.05 Swedish krona.
“What gives me the most confidence going forward is that we have established ourselves at a completely new level of operating profit, 13.5 percent or 104.1 million Swedish krona,” said Björn Borg CEO Henrik Bunge in a statement.
For the period from January 1 to December 31, 2021, Björn Borg Group’s net sales amounted to 768.2 million Swedish krona, an increase of 8.9 percent. Net sales for the company-owned e-commerce and e-tailers amounted to 294.6 million Swedish krona, an increase of 27.2 percent.
The gross profit margin for the year was 54.2 percent compared to 52.5 percent. Operating profit amounted to 104.1 million Swedish krona compared to 33.7 million Swedish krona, profit after tax amounted to 86 million Swedish krona compared to 18.8 million Swedish krona and earnings per share before and after dilution amounted to 3.42 Swedish krona compared to 0.75 Swedish krona.
The company’s board of directors has decided to propose a distribution of 2.50 Swedish krona per share, totalling 62.9 million Swedish krona.
